Newhall

When the townsite of Newhall was first opened on October 28th, 1876, it consisted of a boxcar onto a railroad sidetrack. From its humble beginnings Newhall blossomed first as a small farming town, and developed into a suburban bedroom community shortly after World War II.

Newhall is home to the Placerita Canyon Nature Center as well as the Ed Davis Park in Towsley Canyon. Both offer great hiking trails with beautiful views and are great places to reconnect with nature. Many westerns and movie scenes are shot at Melody Ranch, which also hosts the annual Cowboy Poetry Festival.
With its unique collection of semi-custom neighborhoods in the Happy Valley area, to its ranch-style luxury homes in Placerita Canyon, Newhall still gives its residents that "small town feel", while being commuter-friendly to the rest of Southern California.
